The Women Behind Coco Foods
Bringing Flavor, Culture, and Connection to Your Table
Coco Foods is more than just a food business — it’s the result of two women, from two different generations, coming together around a shared love of food, family, and tradition.
We specialize in catering Latin-inspired events in the Washington, DC area — from small gatherings and birthdays to large corporate events. Every dish we prepare reflects our values: homemade, full of flavor, and served with love.
🧀 It All Started with Tequeños…
Our journey began with tequeños — the beloved Venezuelan cheese stick — made by hand, with a family recipe and lots of love. These golden, crispy bites became our signature. And behind each batch is Coro — the soul of our kitchen and the heart of Coco Foods.
But over time, something beautiful happened: our kitchen began to evolve. With each event, each conversation, and each challenge, our menu expanded. We added homemade cakes, pasticho, polvorosas de pollo, and now offer seasonal specials like hallacas and pan de jamón for the holidays. Our menu keeps growing — not out of trend, but out of love and creativity.

Meet Cocó
Co-Founder, Queen of Tequeños, Grandmother Extraordinaire
I’m Coro — the enthusiastic grandmother behind every tequeño. I was born and raised in Venezuela, where tequeños are not just food — they’re part of every celebration, memory, and family moment.
When I first started making them at home for my grandkids, I never imagined they would spark something bigger. Today, I still roll every tequeño by hand, making sure each one is just right. I’m not a chef — I’m a grandmother with a mission: to share the flavor of home with everyone who takes a bite.

Meet Andrea
Co-Founder, Organizer of Chaos, Food Dreamer
I’m Andrea — a Venezuelan mom of two energetic girls, a multitasker by nature, and a passionate cook who believes that food is one of the best ways to connect with people. I started Coco Foods to share the flavors of my culture and bring a taste of home to my community.
I manage the business side of Coco Foods while also getting my hands in the kitchen. I love designing menus that feel both authentic and practical, especially for busy families, schools, and offices. For me, this is not just a business — it’s a way to build something meaningful, raise my daughters with pride in their roots, and create joy through food.
